Sending massive love and props to my friends @projectjonahnz who are currently doing the hard mahi to rescue a group of pilot whales that have stranded on Farewell Spit. New Zealand has some of the highest stranding rates in the world, and Farewell Spit is a hotspot for them. I’m about to fly out to Antarctica otherwise I’d be up there helping. Follow @projectjonahnz and their FB page for updates and see if you can help out, even if it’s just donating. We almost wiped whales off the face of the earth in the last century. It’s time to pull our weight and help when we can 🐳 photo from the last whale stranding I was at in Farewell Spit.

Hi, I'm Liz, and I got my first taste for traveling when I was 16 years old. On my own, 12 years and 50 something countries later, my wanderlust has only grown and the list of countries I want to visit longer. After living in Spain for the past few years and returning home for a stint, I then quit my job and moved to New Zealand and I've been here ever since.
