Update – congrats to Kendra for winning the trip to New Zealand with me in October 2017 – we still have spots available on my next trip in March 2018
Hello all!
In March this year I hosted for my very first group trip around New Zealand with Haka Tours. It was fun and epic and I decided I wanted to do some more.
Last week I announced two more adventure tours with me around New Zealand. The first trip is 12 days and goes around the South Island. This was the same trip I did with Haka Tours way back when in 2013 and it’s pretty much what made me move to Wanaka. You’ve been warned.
From sleeping under the stars in the Abel Tasman National Park to walking beneath glacier to swimming in turquoise lakes to throwing yourself off very high places to drinking wine under the sun in pretty much the most epically beautiful country in the world, I promise it’s going to be amazing.
The second trip is in March 2018 next year and it’s a bit fancier, it’s for 14 days and goes around both islands.
But this week when I was catching up with Haka Tours, I realized I haven’t done a giveaway on here in quite a while.
Can you forgive me?
Well, you better because we’ve decided I’m going to give one of you guys a spot on my October trip around New Zealand with Haka Tours. Wahoo! Come join me for 12 amazing days as I show you all my favorite spots around the South Island.
Here is your chance for a free trip to New Zealand (minus flights, sorry!)
The giveaway will run for the next week and end at noon Wednesday September 6, 2017 NZ time (8pm EST Tuesday Sept 5th). You can enter below on Rafflecopter. Be sure to leave me a comment below and tell me why you want to visit New Zealand! Good luck!
Here’s a little visual inspiration to get you excited!

Your photos are incredible and profoundly make me visualize being apart of this beautiful landscape! My girlfriend is a Kiwi and she expresses her appreciation and love for NZ daily! I would love to be apart of your NZ giveaway contest just to share a similar experience as yourself and my Kiwi partner. Financially it is not feasible for me to see her homelands, so reading today that there is an alternative measure was insightful! I appreciate you providing someone this experience because I daily think of how amazing it will be when one day my sneakers hit some NZ soil! Thank you for the breathtaking posts and look forward to seeing your future posts on this blog! ?
cool!
I spent half a week in New Zealand in 2012, and it was such an amazing experience. I would love to spend more time in this amazing country!
you definitely need longer!
I have always had such an intense wanderlust and a profound love for nature, and New Zealand just seems like a wonderful place to satisfy both of those deep rooted desires in my life.
It would be a privilege to travel with you, not only as a fan of your blog and what it embodies for women like me who desire to be solo female travelers at some point in life, but also as someone who has effectively decided to leave academia behind (as you have done) in attempts to strive for the other passions I have.
Thanks!
Ever since I saw the first Lord of the Rings movie in theaters way back in high school in South Africa, I’ve wanted to travel to New Zealand. The country looks amazing! But in all honesty, beautiful landscapes aside, the thing I think I’ll love about NZ the most is the interesting animals! I’m a huge animal person.
Same!
