My first introduction to Switzerland in 2008 could not have been more amazing. The plane had yet to land before I fell in love, with my faced shoved up against the round window on the airplane, oohing and ahhing over the misty blue mountains. My best friend N, in Salamanca, Spain, and I booked a last minute flight to Geneva for a quick weekend in the land of chocolate and snow-capped mountains.
Some of my favorite trips were to the Jungfrau in the Swiss Alps, driving around Lugano the Italian part of Switzerland, and spending time during the summer with my best friend in Lake Neuchatel. Now that I am in the midst of trying to renew my papers, I can’t risk a trip to my favorite country, infamous for their strict border control. Nothing would dampen my spirits like a 7oo euro fine and a 2 year ban from the EU.
Hello, very nice information. I came across this on Google, and I am stoked that I did. I will definitely be coming back here more often. Wish I could add to the conversation and bring a bit more to the table, but am just taking in as much info as I can at the moment. Thanks for sharing.
Very nice picture, I like Geneva, but Zurich is much more to my liking when it comes to Switzerland 🙂
